Introduction
The following pages present you with a selection of
paintings from 2006 - 2010, and include recent work from a
one-man exhibition 'Selected Paintings', Harbour Arts
Centre, July 2010.
John Ferry graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1985.
During the following years he has held Scottish Arts
Council & British Council funded residencies and
exhibited work throughout the UK, Europe, USA.
Many of his recent paintings are influenced by the coastal
environment of North Ayrshire, and make references to
journeys, drawing inspiration from filmic, painterly and
literary influences such as Herzog, Turner &
Beckett.
